Each concept and plan are developed specifically to your needs and can evolve as your needs change. H2 How Can (Company) Enhance Your Home’s Outdoor Space?

Sample 2:  Outdoor Living_ child page

H1 Enjoy Outdoor Living in Southeast Michigan with Help from (Company)

Our outdoor landscaping designs rival interior designs so much that you may start to prefer your outdoor living spaces over the interior. Since (Company) has been to your home and has created a beautiful natural stone patio and outdoor kitchen that looks over the lake, you now have a choice to make: dinner inside or outside? We already know what you choose.

Pergolas, decks, gazebos, patios, covered or screened porches, and patios for outdoor living, cooking, and dining, or hidden paths with benches for reflecting. Let us know what you wish for, and we will bring it to life.

H2 Outdoor Living Spaces for All Seasons

We have all heard people in Michigan say, don’t blink or the weather will change. Or we have two seasons, summer and winter. Those are the naysayers that do not enjoy variety. We know Michigan has hot seasons, wet seasons, and sunny, dry, windy, snowy weather. While you live in this beautiful state, you have enjoyed every season, and there may be more than four! We love Southeast Michigan, and we design your outdoor living spaces so that you will, too. Outdoor living is for all seasons if your outdoor areas are well thought out.

H2 Planning for Outdoor Living Around Your Home

Our outdoor living team of designers takes all things into account when planning for your enjoyment of the outdoors. The most important aspect of each area we create for you is how you plan to use it and what effect the weather will have on its location. Is it the south sunny winter side of the home, or is it the windy northeast corner? Is there water nearby that brings cool breezes?  We can put up walls of arborvitae or brick if we are protecting you from wind or close neighbors, or low shrubs if providing a view. After 25 years, we know how to plan and work with Mother Nature for the best outcome.

H2 Outdoor Living Spaces with a View

We want each outdoor living space, whether a deck, a patio, or a porch, to provide an enjoyable experience and have a pleasing view. Perhaps it is a lake or stream, a flower garden, or a swimming pool you most enjoy, so we plan for socializing and dining spaces in close proximity. If natural beauty isn’t nearby, we will build a wall of ivy or greenery for you to gaze on. Flower beds and container gardens can bring beauty to the deck, or a seat in the pergola. We know the best place to build a fire pit or outdoor fireplace. We know where to put butterfly loving plants and where not to put bee loving sedum. Our goal is for you and your family to enjoy every square inch of your landscape every day, every season.

Press Release

Being at the forefront of the farm-to-table movement in Michigan, I realized early on in 2006 and 2007 that the local economy would continue to struggle, and eventually crash because of our race to globalization and our ignorance of what was happening around us at home. And for me, I feared for my beloved neighborhood. I knew I wanted to work closer to my home.

I was working on global projects for General Motors whose mission was to be the global leader in the automotive industry, and in stark contrast, my neighborhood was changing drastically. A few years ago no one I know would have walked away from their home and mortgage. Now I know dozens who have out of necessity. And the number of bankruptcies was staggering.

Unemployment hit record highs. People were frantic while buttoning up their spending on the heels of a housing and stock market crash. Keeping up with technology that was changing and reinventing itself at the speed of light, people were praying they did not lose their jobs. I was doubting the quality and safety of consumer goods from across the globe like never before. Yet here at cork, we opened our doors full of hope and determination to be leaders in supporting our local businesses and to buy food from our local farmers. Our food and beverages were superb simply because everything was fresh. I was determined to source ingredients from local suppliers, including our onsite garden. The result was humble. We were a small scale success.

As cork wine pub prepares to enter its third year in business, we look back at our successes and our mistakes. Success is never easy and I would be lying if I said we hadn’t made our share of blunders. However, let us focus on the good, the awards and honors we have earned, the sincere compliments of patrons that brought me to tears, and the hard work of very dedicated and creative staff members. And like a family, we have had our moments and drama (true), we have had lots of laughs, have delighted customers, and had good times that we will always cherish.

Please join us in celebrating the beginning of our third year together. Cheers!

Ghostwriting project, YA genre

“There’s no time to make a plan!” Dana screamed at Hugo. “What if they kill her?”

Hugo knew she was right, but Olympic Park was huge and there was no way to know where to look. And it was late, the sun was going down. It would soon be dark.

“Dana, please, let’s wait and make a plan,” Hugo begged. “I want to go with you but we can’t just rush out there now. We can’t search the whole park on foot. It’s going to be dark soon. We have to think. We have to leave in the morning.”

Please, Hugo thought, please let her be rational. She was so headstrong. He knew his pleading would not work but he had to try.

Mary was gone. She was just a child. And Dana was horrified. Her sister was her responsibility but she had wandered out to play and been captured. There was no time to make a plan. She was fired up. She would find Mary and bring her home.

Dana ran down the hill to the boathouse blinded by tears, fueled by fear and rage. She knew Hugo would follow her and try to stop her. But wild horses could not stop her. She had to get to Mary before it was too late.

Dana swung open the boathouse door, nearly breaking it off its old rusty hinges. It slammed against the wall, and bounced back almost hitting Hugo in the face. He was right on her heels. He was starting to panic.

Dana was already in one of the old creaky row boats, struggling with the oars. He could hear her cursing and huffing, as she tried to balance herself and get the oars situated. He tried to see her face but she kept her head down and avoided looking directly at him. Strands of her blonde hair broke free from her ponytail and aided in covering her face.

“Are you coming or not?” she snapped without looking up. “I’m leaving now.”

“Dana, please…” he trailed off. He knew it was futile to try to stop her.

Hugo watched for a moment as Dana pulled on the oars. He noticed the muscles in her arms, and her legs as she braced for the effort. In one expert move the boat was launched into the lake. He knew she was strong and determined; she would get across the lake in ten minutes. He watched for a little longer and then helplessly threw his arms up. Someone would have to save her.

Mary was gone, and now Dana. Hugo knew Dana would soon be captured, too. She was so willful and determined, but she was angry and she wasn’t going to be rational. What could she do, singlehandedly fight off the men who held Mary hostage? Carry a child to safety while running through a park? If she even survived long enough to find her.

Hugo felt himself getting choked up. He had known Dana since they were in high school. She had never paid him much attention then, but Hugo had always thought she was beautiful. And funny and smart and…well, beautiful. And bull headed and strong willed. If she decided she was going to do something she did it. Like win the annual 25mile race across Olympic Park that took place every year at the Summer Festival. She trained and ran every day for months and came in first place. Second place was not an option for Dana. Hugo knew she would get to the park and she might somehow find Mary, but he feared she would not stay levelheaded long enough to get them home safely.

Hugo turned and headed toward the house. He started to run. He had to be the rational one. He knew he had to think. He was already formulating a plan. He needed help, and fast. He needed his brothers to come with him to Olympic Park. They would bring friends and trucks and maybe even weapons. They wouldn’t leave Dana out there alone with darkness closing in.

Hugo thought of Dana alone in the park, cold and defenseless. He thought of something bad happening to her. An icy grip clutched his heart, and almost took his breath away. His legs felt weak, but he ran faster.

Business Paper

Excerpt from a paper written on a bank merger, including research on financial data, market conditions, and current events to support the recommendation and viability of a merger. More pages are available if requested.

Executive Summary

The purpose of this study is to find a bank that is the best choice for acquiring XYZ Bank & Trust while meeting the criteria as set forth by the shareholders. This study focuses on Comerica, Incorporated.

Comerica Incorporated (Comerica) is the largest bank holding company with headquarters in Michigan in terms of total assets and total deposits. As of June of this year*, Comerica is number 31 of the top 100 banks ranked by industry share. The corporation’s principal business is the Business Bank, the Individual Bank, and the Investment Bank, offering a wide number of services and products under each heading. These core businesses are tailored to each of the four primary geographic markets: the Midwest, Texas, California, and Florida.

Comerica has a strategy for surviving the significant changes that have beset the banking industry. “Direction 2000” is the three-phase restructuring project that focuses on reducing costs, selling less profitable subsidiaries to free up capital, instigating the implementation of new technologies, and engaging employees to develop ways to increase job efficiency and to serve customers better. In addition, Comerica has formed strategic partnerships with innovative companies to align itself for the future.

The financial data included in the attached exhibits indicate that Comerica is keeping up with and surpassing industry averages. Return on average assets maintained an upward trend while restructuring costs were incurred. Dividends to shareholders have increased for 28 consecutive periods. An analysis of non-performing assets shows a better than industry average in the performance of the earning assets reflects good credit policy. The interim income statements indicate that Comerica is on its way to achieving its earning goals for the year.

I recommend that XYZ Bank & Trust shareholder team choose Comerica to approach with the acquisition proposal. Reputation and leadership, especially in technology advancement make Comerica the well-founded choice.

Introduction

As one of five shareholders of XYZ Bank & Trust of Michigan, it is my purpose to examine one of five banks that meets our criteria and determine if it is a viable prospect for acquiring our institution. Our criteria include a reputable bank, with a solid presence in Michigan, a strong dedication to customer service, as well as the community, and most importantly is financially sound. Our potential parent company must be aggressive in applying new technologies to survive in the increasingly competitive global markets. Whether a bank is here tomorrow depends on the latter, and their ability to invest the necessary capital. We are a community bank seeking a company that shares our values as we find the cost of operating in the current market increasingly out of our scope. I have found Comerica to meet all our requirements.
